SolventWater
MethodA weighted amount of DPPC+C16-βAH was dissolved in ethanol in a 100 mL round-bottom flask. The ethanol was removed to form a thin DPPC film on the walls of the flask under reduced pressure using a rotary evaporator. Any residual solvent was removed under a stream of N2. A weighed amount of water was then added. The flask was then returned to the rotoevaporator, immersed in a water bath, and vigorously rotated for ∼5 min, to reconstitute the lipid film at 50 °C. The solution was thenput in a flask and vortexed at 50 °C for an additional 5 min
