If you are using AntigenDB database, Please cite: The field of computer-aided vaccine design faces many challenges. Perhaps the greatest is to identify protective antigens; proteins which can serve as potential vaccine candidates. In the past, attempts have been made to collect and compile known antigenic regions, or epitopes, which may stimulate B and T cell responses (MHCBN, BCIPEP, AntiJen, IEDB). However, such epitope databases while providing comprehensive information about experimentally validated epitopes within proteins they do not cover a wide range of known antigens. We have developed a database 'AntigenDB' which provides comprehensive information about a wide range of experimentally-validated antigens. The structure of AntigenDB is outlined below: |
