Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Q1. What is RareLSD?
Ans. RareLSD is an comprehensive information sysytem about all enyzmes present in the human lysosome.

Q2. Why RareLSD?
Ans. Lysosomal enzymes play a major role in maintaining natural haemostasis within the cellular compartments. Deficiency or malfunctioning of any enzyme leads to accumulation of toxic metabolites and thus, various storage defects. One major application of this database is that all the necessary information about these enzymes can be present in this portal which could be ustilised extensively to serach about the disorders caused due to such enzyme defects. .

Q3. How to search into RareLSD?
Ans. User can search RareLSD using various modules such as Search, Browse etc. In addition for sequence similarity search, user can explore various analysis tools that are integrated in RareLSD.
