Diseases Screening

Disease screening means detecting whether a particular disease is present or not in a particular individual. GDPbio focusses upon the screening of diseases through genetic test. The most common examples are:
  1. In case of sexually transmitted diseases and hepatitis etc. older testing methods could take days for results but genetic tests identify these conditions in hours rather than days. All this enables rapid intervention and treatment.
  2. During treatment of Staph infections, a rapidly-morphing group of bacteria-called Methicillin-Resistant Staphylococcus Aureus-is resistent to drugs. A genetic test can identify this form of staph infection rapidly, helps detect and stop costly, dangerous infections that patients aquire in the hospital.
