RareLSD: A Database for Human Lysosomal Enzymes. RareLSD is a manually curated database of 63 lysosomal enzymes present in the humans. Deficiency or malfunctioning of any enzyme leads to accumulation of toxic metabolites and thus, various storage defects. One major application of this database is, all the necessary information about these enzymes can be found in this portal.

Major Features

Comprehensive Information: RareLSD is a compendium of information about all the 61 enzymes present in literature. These enymes play a major role in maintaining natural haemostasis within the cellular compartments. Deficiency or malfunctioning of any enzyme leads to accumulation of toxic metabolites and thus, various storage defects. One major possible application of this database is that all the necessary information about these enzymes can be present in this portal.

Searching Facilities: Searching modules allow users to retrieve data from database using various options that includes; i)keyword search for text-based search, ii) peptide search for searching peptide sequences using string matching, and iii) advanced search for performing complex in database.

Data Browsing: This Module permits the users to fetch the information in classified manner. It present classified data where classification is performed on wide range of data that includes : Gene Name,Enzyme Class and family, the disorder associated with the enzyme.

Similarity Search: Numreous similarity search tools have been integrated in web site that allow one to perform similarity search of their peptide sequence against RareLSD database.

Mobile Compatible Website: RareLSD is built on a responsive template, hence RareLSD is compatible for desktop, tablet and smart phone.
