CohortHere conducted a prospective cross-sectional study, from 2012 to 2016, at the Hospital das Clinicas of the University of Cam- pinas (UNICAMP), Sao Paulo, Brazil, which is the reference hospital for more than six million inhabitants. 60 patients were included in the study. The patients were classified in three groups: Pneumocystis jirovecii pneumonia (19 patients), community-acquired pneumonia (18 patients), and other infections (23 patients).
