CohortThree patients (patients 1 to 3) with confirmed chronic CNS fungal infection diagnosis were included. Sixteen controls (con- trols 1 to 16) suffering from miscellaneous nonfungal CNS dis- eases were enrolled: nine cases of infectious disease, five cases of blood malignancies with neurological involvement, one was of vasculitis, and one case of metabolic syndrome. All the pa- tients were admitted to Tours University Hospital in Tours,France.
