Welcome to IL-13Pred

Interleukin-13 (IL-13) is a cytokine secreted by CD4 cells, Th2 cells, natural killer T cells, mast cells, basophils and eosinophils. IL-13 is a vital cytokine in IgE synthesis, goblet cell hyperplasia, mucus hypersecretion, and airway hyperresponsiveness. Several studies have shown that IL13 plays a critical role in chronic airways inflammation disorders such as asthma. In literature, Tralokinumab has shown efficacy in overexpression of IL-13 cases. Several research groups are working actively to predict the antigenic regions vaccines designing for IL-13. Based on our knowledge, we have developed an in silico tool that allows the user to predict and map the IL-13 inducing / non-inducing peptides.
