| Cohort | In a retrospective cohort study conducted at Stanford Health Care clinical microbiology laboratory, adult and pediatric patients diagnosed with invasive aspergillosis and mucormycosis by Aspergillus and Mucorales plasma cfDNA PCR, respectively, were enrolled in this study, and residual plasma samples were collected prospectively at weekly intervals for a duration of 4 weeks and retested under a research protocol. The primary outcome included an all-cause mortality rate at 6 weeks and 6 months based on baseline CT values (a cutoff of 40 for Aspergillus and 35 for Mucorales) and results of follow-up cfDNA PCR testing. |
