CohortAll mice were maintained at Umeå Centre for Comparative Biology (UCCB), Umeå University, Umeå, Sweden. Inbred C57BL/6 mice served as WT strain and inbred S100A9-/- strain, which was obtained from University of Münster, with the same genetic background as C57BL/6 served as S100A8/A9-deficient strain.
