| Disease Introduction Mechanism | Invasive pulmonary aspergillosis (IPA) is a type of respiratory infectious disease mainly caused by pulmonary Aspergillus invading the bronchial and vascular walls. IPA usually occurs in neutropenic patients accompanied by immune function damage, including organ transplantation and hematological malignancy; the incidence of IPA is closely related to the mortality of these diseases. However, IPA is increasing in non- neutropenic patients with chronic underlying diseases, such as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and diabetes mellitus. |
