CohortThis study was conducted in the NICU (level III) of Dr Zekai Tahir Burak WomenÕs Health, Education and Research Hospital. Newborns who presented with clinical signs and symptoms of infection from January to September 2007 were previewed. Between January and September 2007, 3737 patients were admitted to our NICU, for a total of 24 590 patient days.
