Welcome to EmiRPred
A webserver to predict exosomal and non-exosomal miRNA

Exosomal miRNAs, small non-coding RNA molecules in exosomes, are key in cell communication and have disease diagnostic and therapeutic implications through genetic information transfer. EmiRPred is a tool classifying exosomal and non-exosomal miRNA sequences to enhance exosomal research.

Predict

This module allows the user to predict whether the query miRNA is exosomal or not based on its nucleotide sequence. This prediction can be done using either ML only model (Extra Tree Classifier) or hybrid model (ML + BLAST + MERCI), as selected by the user.

Design

This module facilitates the user to design the exosomal miRNA sequences. It produces a number of mutant miRNA sequences from the query sequences given by the user and also predicts which of those mutants will be exosomal miRNA based on the selected model.

BLAST

This module hits the submitted sequences against the custom database generated using EmiRPred datasets. The miRNA sequence will be assigned as exosomal if the hit is found against an already known exosomal miRNA sequence, else non-exosomal.

Motif-Search

This module facilitates the user to scan for the exosomal miRNA motifs in the submitted miRNA sequences. MERCI tool is used to locate the motifs in the sequences. If the exosomal motif is found in the sequence, then this module will highlight it in the query sequence.
