IL4pred2: Prediction and Desigining of IL4-inducing Peptides

Reference:

IL4pred2 is a web server designed for users involved in vaccine development. IL-4 regulates antibody production, hematopoiesis, and inflammation, as well as the formation of effector T-cell responses. It is produced only by a subset of activated hematopoietic cells, including T cells, Fc epsilon R1+ mast cells and basophils. This server allows users to predict and design peptides that induce Interleukin-4. Several methods have previously been developed for identifying MHC class II binders capable of activating T-helper cells. These T-helper cells induce a variety of cytokines, including IL-4 and IFN-gamma.We present an updated version of IL4Pred developed by our group in 2013 as IL4Pred2.

IL4 Function
MAJOR MODULES

Prediction

This tool allow the user to predict whether the given peptide is IL4-inducing or non-inducing epitope using the composition-based methods. To predict the status of peptide user need to provide the machine learning method.

Design

This tool facilitates the user to design the IL4-inducing epitopes. This module is developed for generating all possible mutant of a peptide by mutating single residue at a time. This module also predict wheather mutants can induce IL4.

Scan

This tool facilitates the user to scan the IL4-inducing epitopes. This module is developed for the identification of IL4-inducing epitopes from a protein sequence.
